About The Position

ITS Logistics is seeking an AI Builder to own AI solutions end-to-end within a $6B logistics company. This role involves working directly with the AI Transformation leadership team, offering high visibility to senior executives. The position requires end-to-end ownership of AI solutions, from identifying business problems to deployment, adoption, and measuring results. The AI Builder will be responsible for the enterprise strategy of their builds, ensuring integration with the wider technology landscape and that work compounds rather than fragments. They will also own the ROI case, defining, baselining, and proving returns, and prioritizing builds against business needs. Collaboration with business units such as floor teams, operations, finance, and support is crucial. The role emphasizes building enterprise-first with attention to architecture, security, RBAC, and design standards from the prototype stage. Shipping solutions from day one is expected, with no ramp-up period. The AI Builder should maintain a forward-looking view on AI and logistics industry trends, staying at the forefront of tools, methods, and vendors.

Requirements

Production experience building with LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems (not just using AI tools).
Practical experience with agent loops and graph-based workflows, with judgment to know when a deterministic approach is better.
Ability to write enterprise-grade code using AI and a process for doing it well.
Knowledge of where AI-generated work fails validation and testing, and a method for catching it.
Technical foundation in computer science or equivalent, strong enough to judge design soundness.
Genuine understanding of security in an AI context: data handling, access boundaries, and what not to expose.
Demonstrated enterprise thinking: built or owned something that integrated with existing systems.
Ability to define and measure ROI in dollars, hours, or service impact, and make defensible prioritization calls.
Self-starting and relentlessly curious; find problems, learn unprompted, and bring ideas forward.
Urgency: measured by shipped solutions with documented value, not effort.
Mindset: honest, adaptable, committed, with a sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with running open-weight models for in-house inference and the tradeoffs against hosted APIs.
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a comparable operational industry.
Demonstrated ability to get deep on an unfamiliar domain quickly if not from a logistics background.
Real design instinct: care whether what you built is usable and actively build that craft.

Responsibilities

Own AI solutions end to end: Business problem, build, deployment, adoption, measured result.

Prioritize against business need, understanding where value lies and defending build decisions.
