About The Position

Join a healthcare technology company as a hands-on, AI-native builder focused on helping internal teams work faster, more clearly, and more accurately. The role partners directly with operations, finance, clinical, and other business teams to understand how work gets done, identify bottlenecks, and build practical solutions using AI, automation, and modern software tools. This is not a traditional software engineering role. Success is measured by the business value of the work, including reduced manual effort, improved operational visibility and accuracy, and faster key processes. The position is fully remote within the United States, with an annual base salary of USD $120,000–$150,000, plus bonus and equity. The engineer owns projects from problem discovery through deployment and iteration, using AI-assisted development tools, APIs, automation platforms, SQL, Python, and low-code technologies. Within the first 90 days, the expectation is to independently identify and deploy multiple improvements with measurable operational impact.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in software engineering, automation, data engineering, technical operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to work with APIs, databases, SQL, Python, and integration tools.
  • Experience building lightweight internal applications, dashboards, or workflow automations.
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to understand business processes quickly.
  • Ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and execute without extensive specifications.
  • Comfort moving quickly, experimenting, and building practical solutions rather than over-engineered systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with operations, finance, clinical, and other teams to understand workflows, data processes, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Design, prototype, and deploy solutions using AI-assisted development tools, APIs, automation platforms, SQL, Python, and low-code technologies.

  • Build dashboards, reporting tools, and lightweight internal applications to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Apply LLMs, AI agents, and related technologies where they can meaningfully improve productivity or accuracy.
  • Own projects from problem discovery through deployment, iteration, and measurable business impact.
  • Identify and deploy multiple improvements within the first 90 days that measurably reduce manual work, improve operational visibility, increase accuracy, or accelerate key processes.
