•$172,550 - $233,450•Onsite

About The Position

Legora is hiring an AI Automation & Enablement Engineer to increase AI fluency across the company and help employees make effective use of AI and automation. The role works as an embedded engineering partner to internal teams: understanding how colleagues work, building practical solutions with them, and helping them gain the confidence and skills to use AI independently. It combines hands-on development with practical teaching, turning experiments into reliable workflows used in day-to-day work. The engineer will select suitable tools and approaches for each problem, which may range from improving use of an existing product to building integrations or internal applications. Tools mentioned include Claude and Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, Cursor, and other AI and automation platforms. The role also evaluates model quality, speed, and cost; helps ensure workflows are dependable and appropriately permissioned; and follows up after launch to improve adoption and results. Legora describes itself as an AI-native legal-work workspace serving more than 2,100 customers across over 80 countries. It has scaled to more than $200 million in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America, and APAC. The position works in an in-person environment at the Union Square office, with company-provided lunch daily.

Requirements

  • Has built automations, integrations, or internal tools that other people use and can explain the problem, decisions, and resulting impact.
  • Actively uses tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Cursor for substantive work and understands their limitations.
  • Can judge when AI, conventional automation, or a simpler process is appropriate.
  • Can match models to tasks, balancing quality, speed, and cost to improve productivity and reduce unnecessary spending.
  • Enjoys working with people at different confidence levels, explains technical ideas simply, and helps others solve problems themselves.
  • Asks useful questions, identifies underlying problems, and translates vague requests into practical next steps.
  • Verifies results, handles sensitive information carefully, and knows when an action needs human review or input from a system owner.
  • Follows through on documentation, maintenance, and adoption, and focuses on whether work delivers value.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building internal AI tools or delivering practical AI enablement programs.
  • Experience connecting agents to business applications, APIs, and knowledge sources.
  • Experience evaluating AI outputs, testing workflows, or monitoring integrations.
  • Examples of tools, guides, or workshops that helped colleagues adopt a better way of working.

Responsibilities

  • Spend time with employees across functions to understand their work and identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce manual effort, or remove delays.
  • Work alongside colleagues on real tasks to help them provide useful context, break down problems, evaluate AI outputs, and identify where AI can improve their work.
  • Build automations and internal tools using AI coding tools, scripts, APIs, agents, and workflow platforms, taking ideas through testing, rollout, and ongoing use.
  • Run hands-on sessions and office hours, create clear examples and reusable workflows, and help employees build skills they can apply independently.
  • Identify effective approaches, make them easy to reuse, and help teams develop their own confident AI practitioners.
  • Evaluate new capabilities and explain tradeoffs in usefulness, reliability, cost, and ease of adoption; simplify processes before automating them.
  • Select models for tasks by comparing quality, speed, and cost, and help teams reduce unnecessary AI spending.
  • Test outputs and verify actions in connected systems; coordinate with IT, Security, and system owners on permissions, human review, monitoring, and recovery steps.
  • Follow up after launch, resolve failures, and improve solutions based on actual usage.
  • Track changes in manual effort, turnaround time, errors, output quality, and sustained adoption.
