Requirements

  • Proven experience building and maintaining computer vision or media-centric data pipelines.
  • Strong ETL background involving complex transformations, metadata generation, and media normalization.
  • Hands-on experience with: NiFi (data flow management)
  • Hands-on experience with: Prefect (workflow orchestration)
  • Hands-on experience with: Docker (containerization)
  • Hands-on experience with: FFmpeg (video and audio processing)
  • Hands-on experience with: OpenCV (image processing and analysis)
  • Experience working with images, videos, and related metadata structures.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable data processing patterns.
  • An active TS/SCI federal security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Java (core development)
  • Experience with KLV metadata extraction (e.g., 0903, 0601).
  • Familiarity with computer vision model deployment, training workflows, or deep learning frameworks.
  • Exposure to streaming media systems or real-time video processing.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments and orchestration platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for computer vision workloads, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery of image, video, and metadata assets.
  • Implement and manage automated workflow orchestration using NiFi and Prefect.
  • Develop high-performance media processing services and tools using Java, FFmpeg, and OpenCV.
  • Containerize and deploy data services using Docker.
  • Collaborate closely with computer vision engineers, MLOps, and platform teams to ensure data readiness and pipeline reliability.
  • Optimize processing steps for speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and testing strategies to ensure pipeline stability and data quality.
