About The Position

Scale AI's Advisory practice is a strategic initiative focused on shaping AI problems for clients before development begins, positioning Scale as a key partner for future AI projects. This practice aims to secure larger contracts, ensure predictable execution, and accelerate growth, with the goal of becoming Scale's primary engagement method with new enterprise clients by 2027. As an AI Advisory Consultant, you will be central to each engagement, working alongside a Principal to conduct research, synthesize findings, size impact, and prepare workshop materials. You will also manage the day-to-day operations of the engagement, including timelines, trackers, and coordination with Solutions Engineering and Design teams, ensuring the project stays on track from start to finish. This is a hands-on delivery role where you will own significant parts of the advisory work and collaborate closely with the Principal, offering a direct career path into the AI Advisory Principal track.

Requirements

Consultant equivalent experience at a Tier 1 firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG ideally).
3+ years of work experience.
Experience on AI strategy or transformation projects strongly preferred.
A track record of structured, analytics-driven problem solving.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clean, exec-ready first drafts of findings and materials.
Demonstrated diligence and organization across multiple workstreams.
Technical credibility and curiosity to engage with engineering leads on architecture and accuracy.
Hands-on experience with GenAI in daily work, with concrete examples of using AI tools to improve efficiency.
Commercial instinct, with the ability to articulate ROI and identify upsell opportunities.
Willingness to travel 30-60 percent, potentially including international trips.

Nice To Haves

0-to-1 experience developing or deploying GenAI applications in an enterprise setting.
Exposure to enterprise AI or one of Scale's target verticals (Consumer, Financial & Professional Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences).
Experience designing and synthesizing design-thinking workshops.

Responsibilities

Deliver the core advisory work, including market research, impact sizing, synthesis, and workshop materials, in collaboration with the Principal.
Manage the day-to-day engagement operations, including timelines, trackers, and monitoring open items across Solutions Engineering and Design.
Integrate technical and feasibility findings from the Solutions Engineering workstream into client readouts for a cohesive narrative.
Develop research and supporting materials to support pre-sales conversations and build vertical thought leadership.
Document engagement debriefs, findings, and structured hand-offs to create reusable knowledge and improve the advisory playbook.
Identify opportunities to automate or templatize team workflows using AI, such as recaps, status tracking, and material synthesis, and build these AI-powered solutions.
Establish baseline measurement and tracking for engagements.
