About The Position

AHA Instructor jobs entail creativity and the ability to follow standard AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)/PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)/BLS (Basic Life Support) curriculum. The instructor should have practical experience in performing the skills taught and the ability to communicate the skills to students in a clear and precise manner.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program in your designated certification as an E.M.T, Paramedic, R.N., Respiratory Therapist, Physician Assistant, M.D., or D.O
  • American Heart Association ACLS/BLS Instructor in good standing (in one or all courses) and affiliated with a current Training Center.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Instructor in one or more: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
  • At least 1 year of experience in teaching.

  • Competent in effective delivery of AHA ACLS information and materials
  • Instructors must be able to adapt their teaching to the level of the learner in a compassionate professional manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Instructing classes in both didactic and practical simulation environments per AHA guidelines.
  • Leading and instructing the practical portion of classes in a practical simulation environment.
  • Provide testing and evaluation per AHA standards for both written and practical testing.
  • Fill out all course and post course paperwork per AHA and NGHS Training center standards.
