AHA Advanced Life Support Instructor- Corporate University
About The Position
Responsible for providing quality training in the areas of AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS Training for the Huntsville Hospital Training Center. Teaches under the current guidelines for cardiac pulmonary resuscitation outlined by the American Heart Association. Teaches students with the goal of information retention, and successful skill development of content outlined by the AHA. Provides training and support for employees and the community; as well as supporting the Training Center’s associated instructor network. Must hold current certifications at the Instructor, Instructor-Trainer or Education Sub-Committee member level for ACLS and/or PALS, with BLS Instructor status preferred. Supports management of the TC’s AHA Community Instructor community.
Requirements
- High School/GED
- Licensed Healthcare Professional
- Current Instructor certifications in ACLS, BLS and PALS
- Teaching AHA classes with good evaluations for 2 years or more
- History of good customer service skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Complete understanding of AHA guidelines
Nice To Haves
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- BLS Instructor status preferred
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft office products
