About The Position

Pillen Family Farms is a family-owned farming business located in Nebraska that markets approximately 2 million pigs annually. The Agronomy Tech is an independent role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and handling a variety of farm tasks. The position involves operating farm machinery and center pivots powered by diesel and electric pumps, as well as supporting area farms with services including shredding, spraying, road grading, sewer line jetting, compost processing and spreading, and mechanical maintenance of farm machinery. The role requires 50 or more hours per week, with longer hours during pivot application season. The employee must comply with bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to meet the position's walking and lifting demands.
• General electrical and mechanical knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate farm machinery, including tractors, payloaders, road graders, skid steers, and excavators.
