About The Position

The Agriculture Instructor/Coordinator of Program Advancement is responsible for providing high-quality instruction while serving as the primary leader for the growth and development of the Agriculture Program at UA Cossatot. This is a full-time, on-campus position requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional travel. The appointment year runs from August 1 through June 30, providing the month of July off each year, and renews annually.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in agriculture or closely related field.
  • Relevant experience in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural education, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FFA, Extension, judging teams, or similar leadership programs preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses, develop curriculum, assess student learning outcomes, and create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for careers in agriculture.
  • Aggressively grow the Agriculture Program through student recruitment, community outreach, and strategic partnerships with schools, FFA chapters, industry, and other colleges.
  • Help develop and guide a collegiate judging team.
  • Advise the Collegiate FFA chapter.
  • Plan and expand the annual Colts Classic competition.
  • Participate in grant writing and administration.
  • Oversee the development of a campus farm.
  • Manage the greenhouse.
