About The Position

Under limited supervision, provides assistance in the negotiation and execution of sponsored research agreement, clinical study agreements, outgoing sub-awards and other agreements. Responsible for incoming agreements from receipt in office to execution of contract.

Requirements

  • Experience in agreements negotiation, clinical research administration/management, and/or sponsored programs management.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous, pleasant and professional manner across departments to establish rapport with faculty and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to learn new concepts and apply to complex varied situations.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to maintain strict protocols of all confidential or sensitive information; work is routine in nature and instructions are usually detailed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with faculty and staff to prepare agreements; negotiates contract terms and financial issues with for-profit and other sectors.
  • Ensures all Institutional policies and procedures governing sponsored research and other agreements are followed.
  • Negotiates, finalizes, and recommends for execution agreements of varying levels of complexity, including clinical studies, confidential disclosures, testing, and laboratory studies agreements.
  • Interacts with faculty and administrative staff in the development, negotiation and finalization of agreements.
  • Interacts with other Institutional departments involved in the research enterprise to resolve contract issues and confirm contract arrangements.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
