About The Position

This opportunity is open to current King County employees within the Department of Natural Resources & Parks (DNRP). We are not accepting external applications at this time. In addition to the current opening, this recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future Project/Program Manager II vacancies within the Parks Division over the next six (6) months. King County Parks is excited to seek an Agreements and Project Coordinator to join the Parks Division Director’s Office team! This position will be responsible for supporting the development and tracking of the Division’s Inter-agency and Inter-local Agreements. The position will support implementation of agreements by coordinating with Operations, Capital and Property teams, responding to inquiries, and creating tracking and monitoring agreement requirements. The position will also support other projects as needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is responsive to requests for information, is organized and has good communication and interpersonal skills. The role serves as the primary point of contact for existing agreements and tracks, edits, and compiles all requirements for new agreements. By collaborating with subject matter experts, maintaining confidential information and developing and supporting workflows, the position will help the efficient development and implementation of projects and programs important to the mission of parks and the Parks Levy. This position follows a hybrid work model, blending remote and in-person work. The Parks and Recreation Division Director’s Office is a fast-paced, dynamic work environment! Requirements

  • Experiencing tracking multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint, and IMAP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail and editing and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience identifying and creating process improvements and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating administrative or program operations, agreements, grants, contracts, or other similar business processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the King County Parks and Recreation system (trails, open space, active parks) and operations procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of agreements by tracking workflow, collaborating with subject matter experts, editing documents, creating maps or other exhibits, and responding to requests and inquiries.
  • Develop and manage an agreements database and ensure compliance with terms and conditions for various agreements.
  • Develop Agreements workflow and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of highly sensitive information in all forms (written, verbal and electronic), and all related information and documents including files and records.
  • Coordinate division-wide grant application workflows and criteria.
