About The Position

The Pennsylvania Department of Aging is looking for an Aging Services Specialist to join the Bureau of Quality Assurance. Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in a human services program conducting human services related research or providing social services to clients, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures for Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Programs
  • Review consumer files and assess compliance using designated software systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to reach agreement on review findings and decisions
  • Lead assigned evaluations by organizing schedules, documenting results, and communicating outcomes
  • Examine improvement plans and assist agencies with recommendations based on findings
  • Prepare written summaries to share review results with staff and agency partners
