About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is looking for a motivated Agile Systems Engineer to join our team and provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) support for the Intelligence Community Customer Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). GED plays a critical role in enabling the Intelligence Community Customer to plan and execute intelligence-gathering missions, transforming collected data into useful information for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users. In this role, you will have the chance to design, develop, test, and deliver products that support our customers’ advanced systems. In support of GED Front Office, Chief Architect, Integrated Intelligence Program Office, Advanced Ground Office, and Enterprise Data Applications and Platforms. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams focused on hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis to help achieve important missions and meet requirements. This is a contingent position based upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with proven leadership in technical projects; experience in agile environments and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools, Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), and relevant programming or scripting languages.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities; ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps.
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software/system development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Work with product owners, stakeholders, developers, QA, and operations to translate requirements into system solutions.
  • Apply Agile principles: manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in an iterative, customer-focused manner.
  • Design and implement system architectures: ensure scalability, security, and performance while aligning with business goals.
  • Debug defects, troubleshoot system problems, and implement fixes promptly.
  • Ensure systems meet quality, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices through training and self-study.
  • Create and maintain documentation: produce clear design and implementation documentation for future reference.
