About The Position

We're seeking a talented Connected TV engineer to join our growing team and help build the next generation of mobile applications with integrated AI capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate-level developer who is passionate about mobile development and emerging AI technologies. You'll work on developing Connected TV applications on a team working with a global media company. You will work with our team in our Agile+AI practices in order to build applications on a week by week sprint. This role is perfect for someone who has experience building connected TV or OTT media players and related applications, and wants to explore building software with AI.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on Connected TV application development experience
Experience working with multiple device libraries
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, particularly related to bounding boxes and margin
Understanding of RESTful API design and development
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating AI/ML models into mobile applications
Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs
Experience with AI-powered features like chatbots, recommendation systems, or intelligent automation
React.js experience for web development
PHP development experience
Database design and management (SQL and NoSQL)
CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance
Test-driven development (TDD) practices
Microservices architecture experience
Docker and containerization
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies
Previous experience in startups or fast-paced environments
Open source contributions or personal projects showcasing your skills
Experience with real-time applications (WebSockets, real-time databases)
Knowledge of mobile security best practices
Experience with automated testing and quality assurance
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries

Responsibilities

Build high-quality, performant Connected TV applications across a variety of platforms and devices
Develop and maintain Node.js backend services and APIs to support mobile applications
Take end-to-end responsibility for feature development
Write clean, testable code following best practices and conduct code reviews
Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences
Monitor and optimize application performance across platforms
