About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Agile Product Owner Senior Advisor for the Bloomfield, CT location to act as a technical product owner, collaborate effectively with business partners with a primary focus on the customer experience, and reinforce empathy to the “why” behind Evernorth Accountable care business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Engineering and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with: Leading the full product lifecycle of cloud-native applications, with implementing microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines;
  • Analytical skills in utilizing SQL and cloud based data warehousing using Postgres, SQL Server databases;
  • Managing the delivery of technical product features within an agile environment utilizing tools such as JIRA or Rally;
  • Consistently meeting quarterly release targets as defined in product roadmap;
  • Directing cross-functional teams’ business units in the definition and documentation of product requirements, resulting in timely launch of major product features to meet the critical business objectives and product milestones;
  • UX design sensibilities to develop the product with advanced user centered design principles; and
  • Using: data analysis, data visualization and reporting using cloud and on-prem databases, data automation, ETL and integration using cloud technologies, user interface development, agile project lifecycle & planning, requirement gathering, collaboration with cross functional teams and business users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide servant-leadership for teams and support continuous improvement activities to help a team consistently deliver working code.
  • Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Own, develop, and maintain a healthy backlog of features and stories.
  • Lead team through the refinement of user stories, ensuring that the business value remains the focus.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize them based on changing requirements.
  • Enable the team to succeed through the management of actionable stories and help remove or illuminate any blockers to the Product Manager as they arise.
  • Coordinate teamwork efforts to maximize velocity and value delivery.
  • Accept stories to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria – validate with the Product Manager that the stories accomplish the feature level definition of done.
  • Work with Application Development Managers for quality assurance and release scheduling.
  • Coordinate and complete release activities including release notes, communications, user documentation, and reporting.
  • Prepare and conduct sprint reviews and agile demo meetings for product stakeholders.
  • Maintain a bug triage and L3 support process.
