About The Position

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The Microservices Developer will be responsible for writing Java Spring Boot based microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies, utilizing Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3, building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects, and implementing CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps. Agile development and delivery of software is key, as is communication and collaboration. Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
A Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience. An Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Certifications count as a year experience.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Degree can be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined the requisition posting.
Proficient in Software development process
Programming Practice software quality through tools and processes
Develop software solutions
Design, develop, modify codes to support system requirements
Assist in developing innovative approaches
Capabilities can be waived through in-depth experience that is clearly outlines in the position requisition
