About The Position

This role involves architecting and implementing a monitoring and alerting solution for a complex system using Prometheus and Grafana to visualize business outcomes and alert on critical mission functions. The position also requires analyzing, designing, verifying, validating, implementing, applying, and maintaining software systems. This includes applying discrete mathematics, probability, statistics, and other computer science principles to complex software systems, generalizing techniques for multiple domains, and developing appropriate documentation and training. Briefings and demonstrations will be presented to stakeholders.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and Cloudwatch
Experience with Java, Springboot and Lambda functions
Understanding of AWS services to include EC2, S3 and event router
Understanding of software architecture and micro service concepts.
Proficient in Software development process
Programming Practice software quality through tools and processes
Develop software solutions
Design, develop, modify codes to support system requirements
Assist in developing innovative approaches
A Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
An Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Certifications count as a year experience.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Degree can be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined the requisition posting.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement a monitoring and alerting solution for a complex system to provide visualization of expected business outcomes and alerting events of critical mission functions utilizing Prometheus and Grafana
Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply and maintain software systems.
Appropriately apply discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, and other relevant topics in computer science and supporting disciplines to complex software systems.
Generalize techniques, as appropriate, to apply to multiple domains.
Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training.
Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.
