About The Position

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Agile Developer 1 to support the modernization of a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The role contributes to microservices development, AWS-native services, REST services, and CI/CD in a collaborative Agile environment.

The developer will build Java Spring Boot microservice applications using AWS-native technologies; use Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3; build REST services with Spring for filtering and selecting complex data objects; and implement CI/CD principles using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps. The role also supports Agile software development and delivery and requires effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

The position requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and a CI Polygraph within the last 7 years. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with the stated experience equivalencies detailed below.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, with a CI Polygraph within the last 7 years.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with at least 2 of the following: Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Experience with JSON Schema.
• Experience with microservice architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including AWS tools, Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
• Experience with NoSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB query and schema design.
• Experience with OAuth/OIDC implementation.
• Experience with test frameworks and automation including Cypress and Cucumber.

Responsibilities
