About The Position

The Agile Coach in the TVO Product Operations is responsible for organizing and guiding multiple teams on the continued adoption and implementation of Agile values and principles to consistently deliver on our product vision. You will be building relationships with delivery partners, removing impediments and driving the work of innovative teams that are evolving their agile practice. Our team is our core asset here and we need someone who can help let them unlock their best! You will mentor team members while actively contributing to the delivery approach and processes. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you understand how to collaborate to not only get the best out of team but support them through transformation.

Requirements

  • Decisive and solution-focused leader with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
  • Experience with web, e-Commerce, mobile technologies and Software development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Highly detail oriented and meticulous. Focus on accomplishing every milestone while ensuring processes are followed and issues are proactively dealt with.
  • Skilled negotiator and navigator - respond calmly and resourcefully to challenging situations, roadblocks, ambiguity, conflicts and change requests.
  • Creative and process-oriented approach. Find pragmatic solutions to problems.
  • Expertise working closely with internal and external stakeholders in identifying challenges and to influence and drive decision making in supporting product teams.
  • Outstanding communicator in formal, informal, large, small, verbal and written communications and can effectively influence and work with people at all levels.
  • Drive to continuously improve. Can anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external project partners. Driven to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Forward thinker and can innovate solutions to keep the project - and the business - moving forward.

Nice To Haves

  • Scrum Master Certification is preferrable.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and/or facilitating the day-to-day Agile ceremonies including Planning, Product Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review & Retrospective for Agile teams.
  • Working with core team members to ensure that all elements of the sprints are planned and delivered in alignment with sprint and product goals.
  • Continuously refining and improving the quality of stories ensuring business value and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated.
  • Establish and identify metrics/KPIs for team transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Providing coaching and support to the team on agile principles and values and encourage adoption of them.
  • Work with peer Agile Coaches and Manager, Product Operations to continually advance and improve the agile practice at TVO.
  • Expediting issues resolution, negotiating and influencing people at all levels to ensure impediments are resolved in a timely manner.
