About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment, specifically a dump truck, to transport finished products from the plant to designated stockpiles. The operator is expected to maximize productivity, operate other mobile plant equipment like loaders as needed, and perform daily truck inspections. The position also requires reporting mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (including MSHA), and following directions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior haul truck (or other large mobile equipment) experience preferred
• Previous experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products a plus
• Ability to learn stockpile and plant flow
• CDL License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump truck to transport finished products from the plant to the proper area/stockpile(s) as directed
• Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity
• Operate other mobile plant equipment as needed (ie. Loader) in accordance to specification without damage
• Perform daily truck inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting an issues
• Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Abide by MSHA regulations as specified in MSHA handbook
• Listens to direction and follows instruction accordingly
