About The Position
River Asphalt is seeking an Aggregate Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests that determine the physical characteristics or composition of solid materials for quality control, process control, or product development. The role involves testing samples of quarried products to verify that they conform to specifications, documenting test results, and maintaining laboratory equipment. H&K Group, Inc. provides training, instruction, and supervisory support to help employees develop and grow. A Level 1 certification is preferred, but training is available.

Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, including fine and coarse aggregate shakers, ovens, washers, and balance scales.
- Collect and test samples of quarried products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Perform tests including sieve analysis, wash tests, crush counts, and unit weight measurements.
- Record test results on standardized forms and write reports describing the procedures used.
- Clean laboratory equipment and calibrate laboratory instruments.
