About The Position

Protiviti is seeking a Technology Consulting Senior Manager for its growing Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing and enabling enterprise agentic AI platforms using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), and Databricks. The Senior Manager leads the architecture and implementation of secure, scalable AI-agent solutions, connects agents to enterprise tools and data through MCP services, integrates AgentCore with Databricks, and develops reusable infrastructure constructs for deployment across client environments. The role combines client engagement, technical architecture, platform engineering, project oversight, and team leadership. The Senior Manager partners with clients to identify and manage risk, develop solutions to complex business problems, deliver project work, build client relationships, and represent Protiviti in the market. They also mentor team members, support their development, and contribute to proposals and business development. The position follows Protiviti’s hybrid workplace model, combining in-person work and remote work. Employees may work in Protiviti offices and at client sites, with local or out-of-state travel depending on project and client needs. The listed starting base salary range is $157,000–$272,000, with a 14% bonus target opportunity and an estimated total cash range of $178,980–$310,080.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and implementation of enterprise agentic AI platforms using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
  • Design AgentCore Runtime, Gateway, Identity, Memory, Observability, and related platform capabilities.
  • Design agent workflows, including tool use, context management, session state, memory, orchestration, and human oversight.
  • Define patterns for agents to interact with enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, models, knowledge bases, and other agents.
  • Establish standards for scalability, reliability, security, observability, cost management, and operational support.
  • Evaluate model, orchestration, and agent-framework options based on client requirements; design multi-agent and event-driven solutions where appropriate.
  • Create reusable reference architectures and production engineering patterns for agent deployments.
  • Lead architecture decisions about which models, endpoints, data assets, and AI capabilities should reside in Databricks versus AWS-native services.
  • Design AgentCore integrations with Databricks-hosted or Databricks-managed AI capabilities and integrate with Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, MLflow, vector search, data pipelines, and model-serving endpoints where appropriate.
  • Design secure OAuth, service-principal, identity-passthrough, and machine-to-machine authentication patterns.
  • Establish model registration, versioning, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and governance approaches while preserving Databricks controls over governed enterprise data and functions.
  • Partner with data and AI teams to align agent architectures with enterprise lakehouse and data-governance strategies.

  • Create consistent deployment templates, abstractions, configuration models, defaults, and extension points for technical teams.
  • Establish automated build, test, security-validation, and deployment pipelines, along with environment-promotion, versioning, rollback, and release-management approaches.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure constructs meet engineering, security, reliability, and maintainability standards.
  • Partner with cloud security teams to implement IAM, VPC networking, private connectivity, encryption, secrets management, logging, and monitoring controls.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration, permissions, deployment, and runtime issues.
  • Lead enablement of MCP services through AgentCore Gateway and connect agents securely to enterprise tools, APIs, Lambda functions, HTTP services, data platforms, and MCP servers.
  • Design authentication patterns and configure gateways, targets, credential providers, authorization controls, and tool-discovery patterns.
  • Develop reusable patterns for exposing enterprise services as agent-accessible tools and establish controls for MCP tool registration, discovery, access, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.
  • Design least-privilege permissions and address security for tool invocation, sensitive-data handling, credential management, and auditability.
  • Partner with clients to identify and manage risk, develop strategies and solutions for complex business problems, and deliver high-quality project work.
  • Oversee successful completion of project work plans, lead and mentor teams, and provide performance development.
  • Build lasting client relationships, foster a network within the business community, and serve as a Protiviti ambassador.
  • Support team development and training, contribute to client proposals and strategies to win business, and identify opportunities to integrate product solutions and resources to improve client service.
