The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Methods Agent to join our operations support team based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. You will be part of the PRE-FAL team, responsible for producing aircraft components delivered to the two FALs of the A220 program, one in Mirabel and the other in Mobile. The team’s structure is designed to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, providing mutual support and learning collectively. Your role as a Methods Agent will be to support the autonomous work cells / EAPs and ensure that technical issues are resolved efficiently and swiftly to minimize impacts on operations. In your role, you will be called upon to: Participate in, maintain, and improve the manufacturing strategy and plan for the A220 Pre-FAL. Manage complex projects leading to product improvement and/or reduction of assembly cycles as well as ramp-up projects. Coordinate activities during the different phases of assigned projects. Align the work of involved resources and be the interface between various stakeholders. Manage client expectations and change requests within projects. Prepare and present project status reports to the management committee. Define the strategy for executing your projects: content, scope, resources, timelines, costs, risks, quality management, communications, and training. Manage budgets and expenses related to assigned projects. Participate in cross-functional teams to establish and maintain the best assembly strategy. Evaluate, participate in, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to aircraft assembly processes. As the ideal candidate, you: Hold a college degree or a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or have equivalent experience. Have more than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment implementing manufacturing projects. Possess the technical knowledge to understand the content of your projects. Demonstrate skills in project management. Your leadership will be key to achieving your objectives. Are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, in French, and functional in English. Are a team player with ease in interacting with others. Are proactive, dynamic, punctual, and professional. Have the ability to manage priorities and overcome setbacks. Are recognized for your high initiative, autonomy, innovation, and practical sense. Have an interest in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement.
