About The Position

Saipol is recruiting a Logistics Agent for its ZI DE BALEYCOURT site in Verdun. This is a fixed-term contract position. Saipol Verdun, with 82 employees, is a subsidiary of Saipol (770 employees) and is the French leader in the processing of oilseeds (rapeseed and sunflower). It is a key player in the Avril group, an industrial and financial entity in the vegetable oil and protein sector, and the 4th largest agri-food group in France. Saipol develops high-value-added solutions based on edible vegetable oils, protein-rich meal (Feedmarket.fr), low-carbon renewable energies (Oleo100, Diester, OleoVE), and the sustainability of oilseeds (OleoZE). Requirements

  • CAP-BEP and/or Bac Pro Logistics and/or experience in a similar industrial environment.
  • Ability to operate handling equipment (CACES 3).
  • Technical knowledge for a good understanding of equipment operation.
  • Computer literacy to use supervision software and office tools (Excel and email).
  • Awareness of logistics requirements.
  • Organization: capable of carrying out various logistics actions while respecting deadlines.
  • Autonomy: capable of independently managing logistics operations within their scope of competence.
  • Pedagogy: capable of transmitting knowledge and know-how.
  • Teamwork: capable of integrating into a work group and making an effective contribution.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the physical management of raw materials and finished products to guarantee the smooth operation of the logistics department, in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage installations and report any anomalies that could impact safety.
  • Perform documentary checks before loading according to Quality instructions and create anomaly sheets if necessary.
  • Ensure the unloading of raw materials, loading of finished products, and transfers of products on site, in compliance with defined procedures.
  • Prepare finished product samples and ensure their storage. Empty samples that have reached the end of their storage period.
  • Operate and monitor storage facilities.
  • Perform all tasks related to the smooth operation of the department (reporting in logbooks, cell sounding, bin leveling, etc.), and record traceability of loadings and transfers.
  • Perform first-level maintenance operations on installations: rounds, cleaning, unblocking, leak repairs, etc., and report all observed anomalies to the Manager.
  • Train new operators on the job through mentoring.
  • Operate specific equipment for the department (locotractor, crane, forklift, etc.).
  • Propose and implement improvement solutions aimed at maintaining and making logistics installations reliable.
