About The Position

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking qualified applications for a Part-Time Agent Assistant serving Baldwin County to assist with programming and support of the Master Environmental Education Program and 4-H. This is a limited term position with continued employment based on extramural funding and is subject to renewal. The Agent Assistant will have a 28-hour work week and periodically provide evening and/or weekend hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
4 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience (for Level I)
6 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience (for Level II)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the county as required

Nice To Haves

Experience working with youth, educational programs, volunteers, or community‑based organizations preferred
Additional appropriate education may be applied toward the experience requirement at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivery of educational programming in schools in support of the Master Environmental Educator Program
Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling with teachers and communicating with volunteers
Support and deliver 4‑H youth development programming, including preparation of curriculum and materials
Serve as a member of the 4‑H CYI Team, collaborating with Extension staff to support county youth needs
Assist with collection and reporting of program impact and enrollment data
Maintain, clean, organize, and stock educational supplies and materials
Provide general office support as needed, including answering phones and assisting clients
