About The Position

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Agency Management Analyst in our Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division at our Administrative Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: Supervising and monitoring the daily operations of the processing of the expungement of police and court records, Interstate Identification Index (III) work, III quarterly audits, and challenges to criminal history records.

Requirements

• Considerable knowledge of supervision practices and procedures.
• Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of criminal history data.
• Basic knowledge of Code of Virginia requirements regarding dissemination of information.
• Basic knowledge of Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)/ Interstate Identification Index (III) files.
• Basic skill in data entry.
• Basic skill in the use of computer programs and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to train and supervise a small group of employees.
• Demonstrated ability to process data into reports and check materials for accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and assign and schedule work.
• Ability to resolve problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to prepare reports.
• Ability to work a minimum of 75% of the assigned overtime to address peak workload.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Requires Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) certification, which requires either United States citizenship or a lawful permanent resident of the United States and eligible for naturalization.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
