About The Position

The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR), Division of Human Resources (HR) is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our team! The Division HR Manager is responsible for delivering a full scope of human resources services for the Arts, Administration, and Library (AAL) Divisions. This position reports to the Assistant HR Director for Divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and At least 4 years of experience in human resources with some experience in an HR lead position; or Equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles and practices as an HR generalist or specialist in two or more of the core HR areas, such as salary administration, time and leave, recruitment/selection, benefits administration, organizational management and/or classification and compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience with HR functions in the OSC Integrated HR-Payroll System.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and directing HR Programs while motivating and supervising the work of HR professionals and/or technical specialists.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing problems and formulating recommendations and skill in negotiating resolutions to issues/concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical and consultative services to clients in a variety of functional areas to include: Policy interpretation, Salary administration, Recruitment/selection, Benefits, Time and leave, Classification/job evaluation, Employee relations, Disciplinary actions, Performance management
  • Supervising and acting as a business partner in the creation and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Planning and processing improvements supporting the business direction and human resources needs of the supported division(s).
  • Managing and serving on project teams as assigned
  • Serving as a HR Partner to the Division as a member of Executive leadership, supporting Division initiatives.
