About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a rapidly growing travel and hospitality organization to identify a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across the Southeast region. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, this role manages and grows relationships across Consortia, Retail Leisure, Corporate Transient, Unmanaged, and Government travel agency accounts, with a focus on increasing room night production, market share, and partner performance. The Business Development Manager combines account management, strategic planning, and commercial analysis to identify revenue opportunities, strengthen agency performance, and build lasting relationships with travel advisors and agency partners.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant hospitality or travel experience in sales, account management, or marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, WebEx, and Zoom
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Flexibility to support occasional additional hours and business needs
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently 30–50% throughout the region, with occasional international travel
  • Professional appearance, strong business presence, and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and relationship-oriented
  • Strong selling, presentation, influencing, organization and administrative skills
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned Consortia, Retail Leisure, Corporate Transient, Unmanaged, and Government travel agency accounts
  • Build agency partnerships through joint sales calls, training, webinars, agency visits, and regional events
  • Engage travel advisors through virtual and in-person sales activities
  • Deliver sales presentations promoting the company’s hotel portfolio and segment-specific offerings
  • Host and participate in advisor engagement events across key travel segments
  • Maximize advisor engagement and commercial impact during each activity
  • Analyze account, room night, market, and production data to identify priorities and opportunities
  • Develop data-driven sales strategies based on agency performance and market trends
  • Prioritize agencies by commercial potential, market share, and room nights etc.
  • Tailor sales content and presentations to agency needs and opportunities
  • Conduct account reviews to identify performance trends and new business opportunities
  • Manage call frequency, call files and engagement plans using tracking & intelligence
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, revenue, and other teams on regional initiatives
  • Execute partner training, promotions, events, and engagement programs
  • Maintain a professional presence in customer and internal interactions
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Support special projects, regional initiatives, additional hours and ad hoc business needs
  • Maintain accurate sales and account activity records in Salesforce
  • Keep the Outlook calendar updated with travel, appointments, events, and agency activities
  • Use Salesforce and reporting tools to track performance, progress and analyze trends
  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through on commitments
  • Submit timely expense reports and supporting documentation
  • Complete required training and comply with company requirements
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively
  • Secure and properly maintain company materials, equipment, and issued assets in accordance with company policies
