About The Position

Clarity Locums is currently recruiting Registered General Nurses (RGNs) for agency work in Community Nursing settings with clients in the Limerick area. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care within the community, assessing and monitoring patients in their own homes and community settings, carrying out clinical observations, administering medications, and supporting patients with ongoing healthcare needs. The role also requires liaising with GPs and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing
Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Experience recognising and responding to changes in patients’ clinical condition
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a community setting
Eligible to work in Ireland
Registered with Clarity Locums (or willing to register)

Nice To Haves

Previous Community Nursing experience is desirable
Full driving licence and access to your own transport is desirable

Responsibilities

Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care within the community
Assessing and monitoring patients in their own homes and community settings across Limerick
Carrying out clinical observations and monitoring patients’ conditions
Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical presentation
Administering medications and treatments safely and effectively
Supporting patients with ongoing healthcare needs and individual care plans
Liaising with GPs, community healthcare teams and other healthcare professionals
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
Promoting patient safety, dignity and independence
