Are you passionate about aging well, lifelong learning, and challenging ageism? Do you bring strong experience managing online programs and a desire to create meaningful educational experiences for older adults? This role offers the opportunity to combine purpose with impact. The Age Well Manager, Program Resources position oversees the educational content and project management of Road Scholar’s portfolio of online programs, ensuring timely development and delivery within budget and quality standards. They collaborate across teams to create engaging, high-quality content, manage instructor vetting, training, and scheduling, and support workflows for marketing and partnership initiatives. The primary focus of this position is to develop and deliver online content for Road Scholar’s Age Well series—an initiative that fosters open, thoughtful conversations about aging, challenges ageism, and supports lifelong learning. Age Well programs are designed to be candid, uplifting, and grounded in wisdom rather than worry, helping participants navigate later life with perspective, resilience, and curiosity. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about aging well and supporting older adults, while also bringing strong organizational, project management, and collaboration skills to a virtual learning environment. Road Scholar offers a remote work environment. The compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $67,000 - $80,000 based on experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in gerontology, aging services, public health, social work, psychology, adult education, or related fields focused on lifespan wellbeing and older adult populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in or commitment to issues related to aging, ageism, caregiving, longevity, or later-life transitions.
  • Candidates with an established professional network in the aging, wellness, or lifelong learning communities who can identify and cultivate diverse new program opportunities are strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Organized professional with 3–4 years of relevant experience in program management, education, content development, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Zoom or other online learning software
  • Experience in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
  • Experience with project/account management necessary
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Analytical skills and high attention to detail essential
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, motivated, flexible, and creative individual with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment
  • Comfortable navigating gray areas and adapting to evolving business needs

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and scheduling of Road Scholar's online program calendar, ensuring programs align with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Develops and administers online programs, overseeing instructor selection, budgeting, and program logistics to ensure quality, accessibility, and participant satisfaction.
  • Supervises and supports staff responsible for developing, scheduling, and delivering online programs.
  • Collaborates across departments to plan, execute, and enhance Road Scholar's portfolio of online programs.
  • Monitors and evaluates participant feedback, identifies quality concerns, and resolves issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Utilizes software applications and platforms—including Zoom, Salesforce, and MicroStrategy, to support the creation, management, and delivery of online programming; manage program submissions; review quality metrics; and analyze participant and program data to enhance overall participant experiences.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for new content, formats, and strategies to expand and enrich Age Well and other online offerings.
  • Supports the development and refinement of internal processes and workflows related to online program delivery.
  • Partners with subject matter experts in aging, health, wellness, caregiving, and related fields to develop relevant, inclusive, and impactful programming.
  • Serves as Moderator and/or Zoom Producer for online programs as needed.
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives within the Resources Department as assigned.
