About The Position

West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealership in Martinsburg PA is seeking an Ag Equipment Service Technician. The Ag Equipment Service Technician may be asked to clearly explain to a customer, in a courteous and effective manner, aspects of work being performed.

Requirements

3+ years experience performing service repairs on large agricultural or relatable heavy equipment
Work history of consistently meeting performance metrics
Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures
Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural, off road, construction or other heavy equipment
High School diploma or equivalent experience required
Driver's license required
Must have an adequate toolset/toolbox to perform job responsibilities

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and other brands of ag equipment and technology, sometimes in the field
Perform setup and pre-delivery preparation of new equipment
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products
Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
If on-site field work is assigned, a company vehicle is provided
