About The Position

Take the lead in driving sales performance and market expansion with a trusted John Deere dealer. We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead our John Deere Construction & Forestry equipment sales team in Central Mississippi. This role is responsible for increasing revenue, developing a high-performing sales team, and growing market share in a competitive heavy equipment market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience (heavy equipment, construction equipment, agriculture, or related industry)
  • Strong knowledge of competitor products and value propositions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales leadership or management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of equipment sales and rental representatives
  • Drive new and used heavy equipment sales and rental revenue growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, municipalities, and key accounts
  • Forecast equipment sales and rentals, manage budgets, and track performance metrics
  • Handle large contracts and proposals, including negotiation with OEM (John Deere)
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
  • Partner with Parts & Service teams to deliver full-service customer solutions
