About The Position

Repair and maintain, light trucks, pea combines, corn harvesters and other equipment as needed in the Harvest Department. This role involves maintaining a safety culture, following LOTO company policy procedures, and utilizing the work order system SAP. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making notifications, closing out work orders, completing PMs, navigating the Oxbo connect website, and filling out reports on iPads during harvest. The technician will also be responsible for repairing and rebuilding pea and corn harvesters during the off-season, maintaining them during the harvest season, troubleshooting and repairing GPS systems, performing PMs and repairs on light trucks, and troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems on pea and corn combines. Other duties include combine pressure testing, identifying foreign material, welding equipment, driving seasonal harvest operator crews, and actively participating in the company’s safety programs and 5-S initiatives. The role also requires proactive team participation to achieve departmental and company goals and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years related experience or technical school degree/certificate
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, interpret service manuals and work order systems
  • Valid driver license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with field leads, manager, and combine techs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety culture
  • Follow LOTO company policy procedure
  • Comprehension of work order system SAP
  • Ability to complete work order according to JP, make notifications, close out work orders, complete PM’s, navigate Oxbo connect website, and ability to fill out reports on i pads during harvest
  • Repair and rebuild of all pea and corn harvesters during the off-season
  • Maintain Pea and Corn Harvesters during the harvest season
  • Ability to troubleshoot GPS system and make repairs or adjustments as necessary
  • Light truck PM’s, troubleshooting, repair, and or replacement of drive components
  • Troubleshoot Hydraulic and electrical systems on pea and corn combines
  • Ability to do combine pressure testing
  • Identify foreign material in combine or product
  • Welding of equipment
  • Drive seasonal harvest operator crews to worksite
  • Active participant in the company’s safety programs
  • Actively participate in 5-S
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
