About The Position

The Afterschool Snack Program Coordinator is responsible for the distribution and service of nutritious snacks to high school students. Under the direction of the Department of Food and Nutrition Services, this role assists by picking up snacks from the Somerville High School kitchen, serving snacks to students, tallying the total amount of snacks distributed to students each day, and providing the SHS kitchen with the snack menu containing the total number of snacks distributed at the end of the month. The coordinator must be able to organize, manage, coordinate, implement and oversee the snack program, maintain records, prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports, and exercise sound and independent judgment within general policy guidelines. They will also establish and maintain working relationships with other staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of Food Safety preferred
