About The Position

Kids Unlimited of Oregon is seeking individuals to assist with running high-quality after-school programs in 8 Medford After School programs. The organization needs various youth development specialists to support student learning and development in different roles.

Requirements

Prior experience in an elementary, middle school, or early childhood program.
Ability to lift heavy objects (i.e., 25 lbs.).
Ability to move around the classroom including stooping, bending, standing for extended periods and moving heavy objects.
Willingness to participate in physical restraints if required (training will be provided if the individual has not been trained).
Must pass a clean drug test (including marijuana).

Nice To Haves

Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities, material, and play for early childhood, elementary, and middle-school aged students.

Responsibilities

Serve as key after-school or school support staff.
Develop games, curriculum, projects, and activities to engage youth.
Participate in professional development pertinent to duties assigned by Kids Unlimited Leadership.
Assist with the supervision of students while promoting activities to enhance their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
Provide feedback and ideas to teachers or Site Managers concerning activities and reinforcing learning.
Operate and care for equipment used in the program for instructional or recreational purposes.
Actively participate in program improvement.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
