About The Position

Job Summary: Analyze, evaluate, recommend, design and redesign machine systems, sub-assemblies, and related equipment by applying the theory and principles of mechanical engineering. Duties and Responsibilities: Draft and test prototype fabrications and experimental procedures to assure optimum design, standardization, quality, and manufacturing feasibility for existing and new products. Conceive and analyze sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Computes tolerances, clearances, leverages, weights, and volumes. Computes magnitudes, directions and point of application of tension, compression, bending forces, stress points, and develops geometric shape of machine parts to accommodate operating loads. Assist in the designing or drafting of detailed multi-view drawings of machine and sub-assemblies including specifications. Establishes parts list for each assembly drawing. Modify machine or equipment design to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Assist in the development of new product offerings through personal experience and knowledge by conceiving possibilities which would be functionally attractive and compatible to the product line.
