About The Position

Bambini Montessori Academy is hiring an Afternoon Childcare Aide to join their team. This is a part-time position with a consistent Monday-Friday afternoon schedule, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The role involves supporting lead teachers with afternoon activities, assisting children with daily routines, engaging them in play and learning, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment. This position is ideal for college students, parents re-entering the workforce, or anyone who enjoys working with young children in the afternoon.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

• Experience in childcare, babysitting, or early education (preferred)
• Infant/Toddler experience is a plus
• Patient, dependable, and great with young children
• 45-hour Child Development training preferred — or willingness to complete

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers with afternoon activities and routines
• Assist children with snacks, nap time, diapering, and transitions
• Engage children in play and developmentally appropriate learning
• Help keep classrooms safe, clean, and organized
• Promote positive behavior and social-emotional growth
