About The Position

Jovie is an independently owned, community and purpose-driven organization that provides caregivers with training, resources, and support to develop their childcare skills and confidence on the job. Jovie families need your joy, your sense of fun, and your childcare know-how. Jovie has helped thousands of parents find childcare with full or part-time nannies and sitters and emergency back-up care. This specific role is for an afternoon sitter 2-3 days a week in the Forest Park area of St. Louis, MO. The family seeks a responsible caregiver who can provide afternoon care on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Some transportation of children will be involved. The family desires a caring and fun sitter who can assist with homework for their 7 and 10-year-old children. Ideally, they would like to find a sitter interested in a long-term commitment, with the possibility of more days and hours in the future.

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
Must be willing to transport children as part of duties.
Subject to a mandatory background check.

Share meaningful moments with little ones through play.
Keep a watchful eye to ensure every child feels secure and well-protected.
Prepare yummy snacks to keep everyone energized.
Lead the way in "clean-up time," teaching the kids to help restore the home after a day of fun.
Become an honorary member of the family by building deep, trusting relationships with parents and kids alike.
Provide afternoon care on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday.
Transport children as part of duties.
Help with homework for 7 and 10-year-old children.
