About The Position

The Harker School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afternoon Enrichment Specialist to join our Middle School Enrichment and Supervision Team for the 2026–2027 academic school year. This is a part-time position for the 2026–2027 academic school year. The anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a minimum of 25 hours per week. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. The successful candidate is expected to work all scheduled school days through the end of the academic year on June 3, 2027. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Have current certification in both first aid and CPR, if not, will attend class(s) provided by Harker
Ability to communicate and work with groups of all age and skill levels and provide necessary direction and instruction to students
Must have ability to work independently, work with others, and work with guidance of supervisor
Must be self-motivated
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple situations and tasks
Must maintain a positive attitude and professional outlook
Ability to communicate in effective English with staff, parents and children
Ability to observe student behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques
Physical and emotional ability to respond to situations requiring first aid and emergency situations
Ability to remain standing for extended periods (up to 3 hours at a time)
Capable of working in a variety of weather and climate conditions
Physically able to lift, carry, or hold items weighing 10 pounds or more
