About The Position

EHM Senior Solutions is looking for an Afternoon Shift Charge Nurse to oversee nursing operations, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality care in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements. This role supervises nursing staff, coordinates resident care, responds to changes in condition and emergencies, and serves as the clinical leader on duty. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective leadership, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

Requirements

• Current LPN or RN license in the State of Michigan in good standing
• Minimum of 2 year associate, LPN or RN program completion
• Minimum 2-years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility
• Prior knowledge of: Nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize & problem solve
• Strong work ethic
• Passion for senior living and skilled nursing industry
• Strong organizational, communication & conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent observation and assessment skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Lead and Support Nursing Staff – Supervise, mentor, and coordinate both nurses and CNAs on midnight shift.
• Provide Direct Patient Care – Administer medications, treatments, and monitor residents’ health conditions.
• Develop and Implement Care Plans – Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure personalized, high-quality care.
• Ensure Compliance and Documentation – Maintain accurate records and adhere to state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Communicate with Families and Respond to Emergencies – Provide updates, address concerns, and handle urgent medical situations.
