About The Position

The Manager, Aftermarket Strategy is responsible for developing, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives that maximize long‑term revenue, profitability, and customer value within the aftermarket business. This role partners closely with program management, customer support, product support, spares, supply chain, and finance teams to define growth opportunities, optimize service offerings, and strengthen the competitive positioning of aftermarket products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in aftermarket services, product support, strategy, or related functions—preferably in aerospace, industrial equipment, or transportation, or sectors.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and deployment of the aftermarket growth strategy across assigned product lines or regions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new service offerings, pricing strategies, repairs, or lifecycle value propositions.
  • Drive business cases for strategic initiatives, including investment modeling, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Support development and refinement of long‑term service agreements, repair programs, spare parts strategies, and digital/service enablement roadmaps.
  • Partner with engineering, MRO, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure alignment of product lifecycle decisions with aftermarket goals.
  • Oversee license agreements and related activities.
  • Monitor aftermarket performance metrics (sales, margin, attach rate, repair cost, reliability trends) and recommend actions to improve financial and operational outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that improve customer experience, cost competitiveness, and service delivery performance.
  • Communicate strategy, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership through clear presentations and data-driven storytelling.
  • Support annual and long-range planning activities tied to aftermarket revenue, cost, and strategic priorities.
