About The Position

AlphaBEST Education offers extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs that engage students in a fun and safe environment. The After School Teacher Assistant helps create meaningful after-school experiences where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The role assists with curriculum activities and supports a safe, clean, organized, and inclusive environment for students. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM, at Sully Elementary. A Spanish speaker is preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a large setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must pass a background screening and Central Registry check.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Encourage positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
