About The Position
Great Hearts Academies is hiring part-time afternoon teachers to support elementary and middle school students at its Forest Heights campus. Teachers are assigned to a specific grade-level class and lead daily activities using provided lesson plans. Activities may include reading, athletics, logic games, art, and music, as well as support with homework, enrichment, and fun.
Requirements
- Some college coursework; an education or liberal arts major is preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead and teach children.
- Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and a background check.
- Must be at least 18 years old by the start date.
- U.S. work authorization is required.
- Must be able to perform physical functions including standing, sitting, repetitive hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- May be required to move or position equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
