About The Position
Lead a Team. Inspire Kids. Make Every Afternoon Count. The final school bell doesn't signal the end of the day—it marks the beginning of new adventures. As an After School Program Manager with Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll lead a team that creates a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where children can learn, explore, build friendships, and have fun. You'll coach staff, partner with families and schools, and oversee a program that makes a lasting impact on Hawaiʻi's keiki. If you're a natural leader who enjoys mentoring others, building relationships, and creating positive experiences for children, we'd love to welcome you to our ʻohana.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience leading or supervising groups of children
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Availability every Monday–Friday afternoon
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate).

Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of an after-school program serving school-age children.
- Coach, mentor, and support Group Leaders and Aides.
- Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and engaged.
- Plan enriching activities including games, STEM projects, arts and crafts, homework support, outdoor recreation, and team-building activities.
- Build strong relationships with families, school administrators, and community partners.
- Manage attendance, staffing, scheduling, communication, and day-to-day program operations.
- Foster a positive team culture while ensuring every child has an exceptional after-school experience.
