About The Position

AlphaBEST is hiring a full-time After-school Program Director/Early Education Professional for Fairfield-Suisun Schools in California. The Program Director leads an after-school environment designed to foster children’s curiosity, creativity, adventure, and sense of belonging. The role includes coordinating student accommodations with school staff, the Area Manager, and parents; monitoring and reporting students’ progress; leading and training staff; and nurturing positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and schools. The position pays $23 per hour, with pay based on education and experience. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with availability required from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; actual hours depend on attendance. No weekends are required.

Requirements

• A degree is required; no specific degree level is stated.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate special accommodation requests for students.
• Collaborate with school staff, the Area Manager, and parents to determine appropriate accommodation plans.
• Track and monitor the progress of students using special accommodations and report progress to involved parties.
• Lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality care, learning, and engaging experiences for children.
• Train staff to nurture children and encourage their sense of wonder.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment that fosters positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and school personnel.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students’ interests and talents.
