About The Position

As a BrightBee After School Instructor, you will support students in local schools, helping them learn, grow, and succeed. This role involves designing and leading engaging group activities, providing homework assistance and tutoring, maintaining active supervision of students, and assisting with daily operations. The position offers flexible work with meaningful impact, connecting great people with schools that need them.

Requirements

48 college credits
Pass a background check
Follow safety and reporting guidelines
Complete required school clearances (costs are the sole responsibility of the candidate)
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Design and lead engaging group activities, ranging from structured physical education and team-building games to creative arts and STEM projects.
Keep students motivated, ensure high participation, and adapt activities to suit different age groups and energy levels.
Provide dedicated homework assistance and small-group tutoring to help students understand core concepts, practice study skills, and complete assignments.
Maintain active supervision of students during transitions, snack time, and recreational periods.
Implement positive behavior management strategies to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, adhering to all program safety protocols and check-out procedures.
Assist with daily operations, including taking attendance, preparing activity materials, and maintaining a clean environment.
Serve as a point of contact for parents during pick-up, providing brief, professional updates on student progress or behavior.
