About The Position

Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, this role facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction for school students, and supervises program students. The position is part-time, with days Monday to Friday, and a pay rate of $22.50. Hiring is for Fall 2026 Programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 48 Semester/60 Quarter College Units or pass NCLB test.
  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
  • Provide a clear TB test.
  • Reliable transportation is required to meet the needs of the position.
  • While driving is not a regular requirement of this role, employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR.
  • Demonstrate oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Implement effective instructional school activities in the classroom.
  • Learn the procedures and functions of assigned duties.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Learn, understand and apply rules, regulations, procedures and policies.
  • Understand and be sensitive to the needs and culture of school students.
  • Work confidentially with discretion.

  • Perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be available M-F for the entire shift schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with young children in educational or recreational settings is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and delivering instruction to a classroom of students, facilitating their participation in hands-on, engaging, and experiential learning activities that promote curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth.
  • Working with and instructing school students individually and/or in small and large groups, while maintaining appropriate program ratios.
  • Implementing effective classroom management, discipline, and instructional strategies.
  • Setting up activities on a daily basis; preparing and duplicating materials and operating instructional equipment.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the instruction and the students’ progress.
  • Maintaining daily attendance sign-in/sign-out log and other records as required.
  • Maintaining the classroom or learning facility in a clean, organized, and healthy manner; storage of materials is required on a daily basis.
  • Supervising students in and out of the classroom during various activities.
  • Maintaining frequent and regular parent communication and supporting parent involvement.
  • Attending staff meetings/planning/training sessions on a weekly basis or as required.
  • Performing job related duties as assigned.
