About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring an After School Group Leader at Atfalati Ridge Elementary in North Plains, Oregon. The role supports extended-day enrichment programs that help students learn and grow beyond the school day. The Group Leader leads students through daily curriculum activities, prioritizes child safety, maintains an organized space, and helps create a supportive and inclusive environment. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. AlphaBEST provides training and tools to support employees’ development.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
Proof of experience as required by Oregon childcare licensing regulations.
Enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
Take child safety seriously and follow procedures closely.
Be flexible and reliable.

Nice To Haves

Preferably 18 years of age or older.
240 or more documented hours of experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures closely.
Keep the space clean and organized.
Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
Be flexible and ready to help wherever needed to meet program needs.
