About The Position
AlphaBEST is looking for enthusiastic After School Enrichment Instructor Aids who want to share their love for working with children. We are looking for role models who want to join our team! This position is for the School Year 2026-2027 After School Enrichment Instructor Aid/ Primary School Professional role within the Newport Mesa Unified School District. The role is located at Whittier Elementary and College Park Elementary, serving grades 4th through 6th. The schedule involves classes that meet 2 days a week, with specific class times from 1-3 PM and 4-6 PM. There are no weekend requirements.
Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have at least 48 completed college credits or have passed the paraeducator exam.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
- Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Fluent in the Spanish language in both spoken and written form is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist instructor with elementary-aged students.
- Pre and post-testing implementation to evaluate student progress.
- Lesson preparation and clean-up.
- Effective communication with site leadership.
- All other duties as reasonably assigned.
