About The Position

Come work at a place where you have a direct impact on the quality of life for Kent residents, business owners and visitors alike! This role involves planning, organizing, and leading daily activities for children in grades K-5th. The after-school programs typically have 20-30 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include group games, sports, and arts and crafts.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Applicants are subject to a Sterling background check.
  • Must have First Aid/CPR certification prior to program start date.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching, or day camp environment.
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate athletic and social activities, and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old.
  • Ability to live by Kent Parks mission of “Dedicated to Enriching Lives” and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.

Responsibilities
